What is the Square Lake Film & Music Festival?

Everything you need to know about the Stillwater Annual Film & Music Festival

In the summer of 2003 we held the very first Square Lake Film Festival as a way to bring some exposure to the awesome independent and largely unrecognized film work being done in and around the Twin Cities. Since then we’ve also expanded it to include a lineup of excellent local musicians. Each year we are blown away at the amount of local talent on showcase. Each year is always new, different and exciting. New films and new music. Here’s a list of all the musicians/bands that have graced our stages over the years. Here’s a variety of videos from the festival.

Whether you are a new to the scene or have been around the block there is something for everyone here.

We invite independent Minnesota & Wisconsin film makers to submit your work, local music acts please apply to play here live and all you lovers of local/artistic film or music please grab your tickets early, bring your tent and enjoy the day here with us.

This is considered a family event, so yes kids are always welcome!

The Square Lake Film & Music Festival is “one of the state’s most intimate and best curated” festivals!
